Clive Palmer denies a wide-ranging Senate inquiry into the Queensland Government is about getting back at Premier Campbell Newman.
The Palmer United Party, Labor and the Greens have combined to set up the six-month select committee into the Newman administration.
The inquiry has broad terms of reference, including looking into the use of Commonwealth funds and development and environmental approvals, including for coal seam gas projects.
Mr Palmer denies Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney's claim that the PUP leader is still reeling from a state decision to reject his bid for a Galilee rail line.
"Mr Seeney is just a liar," Mr Palmer told the ABC this morning.
