Skull found on NT beach by man fishing for crabs

A man who found a human skull on a remote NT beach says police told him to hide it until they could investigate.

Darwin man Chris Johnson said he made the discovery while fishing for crabs on a beach in the Mandorah area on Friday.

Mr Johnson posted photos of the skull on his Facebook page and said he placed it in scrubland away from the water.

"The police instructed me to go and hide it in the bush somewhere, so I did that," he said.
